The United States Congress established the Days of Remembrance as America's annual commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust and created the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as a permanent living memorial to those victims. The Museum designated "Justice and Accountability in the Face of Genocide: What Have We Learned?" as the theme for the 2011 observance. The Museum's 2011 National Days of Remembrance ceremony, featuring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, was webcast live from the US Capitol Rotunda on Tuesday, May 17 at 11:30 am EST. In this excerpt, Associate Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer delivers the keynote speech. Learn more about Days of Remembrance: www.ushmm.org
